The Men’s Golf Club of Lincoln Hills (MGCLH)
is one of 80 clubs in the “active” adult retirement community of Sun City Lincoln Hills in Northern California. Lincoln Hills contains approximately 11,000 adults in 6,703 single family homes in beautiful Lincoln, CA. SCLH is located 25 miles northeast of Sacramento, California’s capital, in Placer County. It is midway between majestic Lake Tahoe and San Francisco each of which are only two hours away. Sacramento offers theatre, fine dining, an historic Old Town on the Sacramento River, museums and professional sports. It boasts the second most trees per capita in the world, second only to Paris, France. On Lincoln Hills’ horizon are the fabulous Sutter Buttes, the world’s smallest mountain range. This circular range with lush valleys, streams and abundant wildlife is an unspoiled paradise. This is truly a place to enjoy and appreciate.
Lincoln Hills, which opened for sales in 1999, meanders over 2,992 acres of rolling hills, native wetlands, creeks, and open space. Surrounded by 500 acres of open space and preserved wetlands, riparian, and oak-woodlands; 27 miles of trails; ten village parks and over 200 acres of common area landscaping.
Two recreation centers have rooms for arts, crafts, games, billiards and computer-related activities. The performance-quality Ballroom and Presentation Hall are ideal for performances and the Amphitheater is great for concerts and special events throughout the year.
A great thing about living in Sun City Lincoln Hills is you can be as involved as you want to be. Every month, staff in Activities, Fitness, Food & Beverage and the Kilaga Springs Spa offer a wide variety of events and classes from which to choose. In addition, over 75 shared interest groups and clubs offer a wide variety of things to do together. Walking, jogging and bicycling on the 19 trails covering 27 miles throughout the community is an excellent pastime, as is playing any of the sports in the Sports Complex. If golf is your passion, you will find the two 18-hole championship courses at Lincoln Hills some of the finest in the area. Volunteering your time and talent is a much-needed and appreciated gift to the community. Whatever your interest, you will find an activity at Lincoln Hills.
For those who love to play golf or who wish to learn how to play the game, Placer County alone offers 30 different golf courses. There are two 18-hole championship courses located within Del Webb’s Sun City Lincoln Hills Community. They were designed by Billy Casper/Greg Nash and create two distinct 18-hole layouts with traditional out-and-back configurations. The Lincoln Hills Golf Club is privately owned by Billy Casper Golf and is not part of the Association amenities. Residents may purchase a variety of golf packages offering reduced rates for residents and tee time reservations 14 days in advance.Through the years, the Lincoln Hills Golf Club has successfully hosted competitive events such as the 2003 LPGA Tour’s Longs Drug Challenge, the 2008 NCAA Ladies West Regional Golf Tournament as well as hundreds of other local charity and corporate events.
