The inaugural Annual Member-Guest Golf Tournament was a resounding success! 41 members and their guests participated in the grueling Putting Contest Monday afternoon. Then they moved over to Orchard #1 for an exhausting 3-Flight Horse Race Competition. Brutal team eliminations occurred on the Course until a winning team from each Flight emerged. Those three teams then played Orchard #5 for the Championship. It all came down to a 35-foot left-to-right downhill putt to win the contest!!! Congratulations to all the participants of Monday’s contests!!
Then bright and early Tuesday……….with pastries, orange juice, and hot coffee waiting for consumption, the Teams checked in for the 6-6-6 Format Member-Guest Golf Tournament. They cashed in their $50 Merchandise Certificate at the Pro-Shop for balls, shirts, hats, gloves, etc. Very stylin’!! At 8am, the shot-gun went off. 4+ hours of competition on the Hills Course……blood, sweat, tears, bunkers, chips, errant drives, bright sunshine, and long putts. Every team finished and got back to the Orchard Creek Ballroom for a fantastic BBQ Buffet and Awards Banquet.
Hundreds of dollars, IN CASH, were handed out to the winners!! Congratulations to everyone that participated! Special thanks to all the volunteers and workers behind the scenes. But most of all, you’re going to hear about this event from your friends!! People are talking about it!!
